Pure power
One moment, blood-draining acceleration. The next, pulse-quickening performance. A 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 combustion engine with hot “V” configuration. The most powerful ever fitted to an Aston Martin. Utilizing all-new, close-coupled, high-flow, twin-scroll turbos and featuring a dry sump to lower the center of gravity.
TRANSMISSION AND POWERTRAIN
Valhalla, electrified
Two front electric motors facilitate Torque Vectoring for improved traction and agility, providing a Torque Fill between gear shifts to eliminate turbo lag, as well as providing drive in EV mode. Unique and class-leading technologies within our bespoke electric motors increases electrical efficiencies to optimize speed and torque. These motors also operate the electric reverse function, saving weight by eliminating the need for a reverse gear.
HANDLING, STEERING AND BALANCE
The power of balance
A first for Aston Martin, the cutting-edge Electric Drive Unit (EDU) comprises two independent electric motors facilitating Torque Vectoring across the front axle to improve steering precision and actively eliminate both oversteer and understeer. Intuitively shifting power laterally for later braking and better turn-in, sensational mid-corner grip, and improved traction on exit.

A supercar with true hypercar performance. In collaboration with Aston Martin Performance Technologies, Valhalla’s carbon-fiber monocoque is crafted for maximum stiffness providing a basis for the ultra-rigid aluminum front and rear subframes. Unwavering control with unerring precision.
WHEELS AND BRAKES

Placing the power of control in your ankle. The choice of carbon ceramic brakes makes their debut in an Aston Martin core GT model. 400mm at the front. 360mm at the rear. Cut and patterned to inject confidence and fight heat in the highest speeds. While reducing unsprung mass by 27kg to quicken the feel of control in your hands.

Track-led aerodynamics

Valhalla is designed to bring our Formula 1 philosophy and performance-lead design to the roads with Active Aerodynamics. A new and unique active front spoiler, working together with a hydraulically activated active rear spoiler that rises from the bodywork in Race Mode. Capable of adjusting to deliver air braking, varying downforce and automatic drag reduction (DRS).

Aerodynamics, activated

Hidden behind the traditionalAston Martin grille is the purposely engineered and innovative front spoiler that forms part of the active aerodynamics. In Race mode, the front and rear active aero spoiler come alive, constantly varying their attitude to optimize downforce and balance. Behind the front splitter, the underfloor is concave, creating low pressure to further enhance aerodynamic performance.

Grille

Inherited and intended to cool. DB12 Volante bares a redesigned and remolded front bumper, fender and grille design. A honed focal point with a larger traditional ‘DB’ single-vaned grille for a 56% increase in open area to aid cooling.

Wheels

A revolution in rubber. DB12 Volante debuts the new Michelin Pilot Sport S 5 tire. A harmonious creation between Aston Martin and Michelin. Wrapped in a hand spun compound for super grip to reject every drop of rain and inspire smoothness from every turn of tread. And enveloped in the new tire are the 21-inch alloy wheels. Tailored, cut and threaded to create an assertive presence and an aggressive side profile.

Side strake, front splitter and sills

Inherited and intended to cool. DB12 Volante bares a redesigned and remolded front bumper, fender and grille design. A honed focal point with a larger traditional ‘DB’ single-vaned grille for a 56% increase in open area to aid cooling.

Lighting

DB12 Volante is fronted furiously by AI-generated light structures. Redesigned into a new six-block pattern and modeled to ensure a consistent and homogeneous light output. The Automatic High Beam lacerates with light for more support in the darkest of nights. As illuminating to the category as it is on the road.

DRIVER CONNECTION
At one, with Formula 1®
Valhalla’s raised-heel driving position is inspired by Formula 1®. As are the on-screen graphics when Race mode is activated. The driver is poised low. Exhilaration peaked high. Footwells raised for a more directional, hip-to-heel seating position. Bespoke and beautifully crafted carbon-fiber seats. With a suite of other Formula 1®–derived hallmarks, the architecture creates a pared-back cockpit design with clear, simple ergonomics totally focused on the driver.
AUDIO
Celestial sound

Offering the option of a specially designed 14-speaker Bowers & Wilkins surround-sound system with 745W output awaits. Choose from two Sound Modes. “Studio” replicates recording-studio authenticity. “Stage” recreates a sound stage with you in front, as involved as you want to be. Add QuantumLogic® immersion processing, Dirac Unison™. A symphony for your senses.

INFOTAINMENT
A stunning vista. Inside and out

Valhalla’s driving display is matched by an equally breathtaking infotainment touchscreen display. Featuring a new Race mode layout, directly informed by Aston Martin Formula 1® drivers at our Silverstone HQ. A large, linear tachometer layout to aid peripheral viewing. With additional expanded view showcasing full-screen navigation map. Apple CarPlay® and everything you expect from a luxury car, to be enjoyed at the pinnacle of performance.

TOUCHSCREEN
A touch of tomorrow

Aston Martin’s next-generation infotainment system has been deployed in Valhalla. The driver-focused 10.25” column-mounted instrument cluster is paired with an expansive center touchscreen. Providing effortless flexibility to view essential vehicle data when driving on the track. Showing navigation and media applications in road environments. And delivering crucial clarity: a Full Digital Display Mirror System (FDM) replaces the rearview mirror, providing a clear field of vision behind Valhalla.
